• Hello, and welcome to Casino Chick, a gaming hub for women in iGaming! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. How about we start with an introduction? Could you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m Liz Bann and I have been with the Foxium family for 5 years. I joined this studio in 2017 as Head of Sales and Marketing and now I am proudly leading the studio to even bigger successes.

• Foxium was founded in 2015. However, you’ve been producing games exclusively for Games Global since they launched. Can you tell us more about the company’s path so far?

Without a doubt, it’s been an amazing journey for us. We drew the golden ticket when we entered a partnership with Games Global. This partnership gave us the chance to make our games more well-known in the iGaming world. Thanks to an extensive portfolio of operators, we managed to build our brand awareness and gained an army of fans due to our creativity. To see what led us to such success, one need only look at our games Boom Pirates, Cossacks: The Wild Hunt, 3 Tiny Gods, OinkFarm, Agnes Mission: Wild Lab… just to name a few.

• Your studio cooked up an interesting slot that was released at the end of November. Can you tell us more about your latest title Akiva: Claws of Power?

It would be my pleasure! Akiva: Claws of Power was created with the idea of bringing safari vibes into our daily life. The whole team was involved in the process of making this game. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, I must admit, but it’s always been fun. Honestly, Akiva is one of my favourite games due to its intense gameplay, variety of engaging features, remarkable artwork, and compelling soundtrack with pulsating African drums to set the mood. Featuring the popular Link&Win™ mechanic, Akiva: Claws of Power offers interesting new ways to win. I have always been a big fan of wildlife, and it was with great pleasure that I accepted the idea to dive into a wild safari world with the main protagonist, Akiva the Lion. Therefore, we invite all players to unleash their inner animal and go on the prowl for prizes with our Akiva.

• The diversity Foxium brings with each title is truly remarkable. But, what separates this from all other Foxium titles released so far?

We have always been acknowledged for the remarkable, high-quality art in our games and this game is no exception. In addition, we greatly improved the gameplay, working hard on the tech side of this game with its smooth game flow to engage the players even more. In addition, this game boasts several winning features like Link&Win™ and Giant Symbols in Free Spins which give players potential to create impressive winning combinations.

• Were there any challenges you faced while developing Akiva: Claws of Power?

Absolutely! After all, every new game requires a new and unique creation process which is never repetitive. The main challenge that we faced when creating Akiva was that we wanted to make this game feel alive in the players’ eyes. There was a lot of back and forth, working on designing the graphics, animation, and playability which we reworked several times to keep the players entertained throughout the game. I hope we succeeded but the players will be the judge of that.

• The iGaming world is brimming with safari-inspired online slots. Is there something special about Akiva: Claws of Power that will make this title stand out from all others?

You’re right – Agnes’ Mission: Wild Lab was very well received by the players and we couldn’t be happier. With Akiva: Claws of Power we are marking the end of a fruitful year, but not for long as we already have six games in production for 2023. Each one differs from the next with their own great features and outstanding art. Stay tuned and you won’t be disappointed as our creativity continues to grow, and so too does our ambition to make even greater games for our fantastic fan base.
