EXTRA FEATURES

The main game feature is the Lock’n Gold, followed by Free Spins that have progressive Multipliers. The game also has Wilds.

The feature selection is not complicated at all. The only novelty here is the Lock’n Gold which is a variation of the Hold & Win feature.

Basically, when 6 Coin Scatters land on a reel, you get the feature. If there are 4 or 5 Scatters, reels that contain no Coin Scatters go for a Respin in the hope of landing the needed Scatters to unlock the feature.

During the feature, you get 3 Respins that you can use to land additional Coins on the grid. A Respin with no Coins is a lost Respin, while a Respin with at least one Coin resets the counter. Remember, during this feature, only Coins or blanks can appear on the grid, meaning there are no other types of symbols appearing on the grid.

At the end of the round – which is either when you run out of Respins or when you fill the entire grid with Coins – the Coins will flip to reveal prizes. These prizes are Multipliers (they range from 1x to 100x). The total payout is the sum of all Multipliers.

The Free Spins begin with three Sphinx Scatters. If you happen to land 4 Scatters, you will also get an Instant Prize (and more Scatters mean a bigger prize).

At the start of the feature, a wheel spins to determine the number of Spins and the level of Multiplier you’ll start from. The number of spins you can get ranges from 10 to 30, while the Multiplier ranges from 1x to 5x (for a starting Multiplier).

The Multiplier is progressive, and increases with each Wild that lands in the round. Moreover, any extra Scatter that lands adds +1 Spin to the tally.

OUR EXPERIENCE PLAYING TOMB OF GOLD

It’s a fair game, that’s for sure. The game has everything a 6-reel Play’n GO game should have: a big grid setup, a good technical background and support, and dashing looks. After a while, it became obvious that the game’s looks are the strongest suit in the long term, because gameplay starts to feel a bit repetitive. But we did have quite a lot of fund and would recommend the game to everyone who enjoys Play’n GO games and Egyptian slots.
