Qianqian Liu, Gaming Corps Art Director, Proudly Presents Piggy Smash, the Smash4Cash™ Mechanic Trailblazer

Casino Chick and our readers are no strangers to Gaming Corps – but have you heard of their latest game release called Piggy Smash? Qianqian Liu, Gaming Corps Senior Art Director, was kind enough to divulge a few secrets about the new release. Check it out below in full. Enjoy!

• Hello, and welcome back to Casino Chick! It’s been a couple of months since our last chat. Tell us, what’s new with you?

Hello! Thanks for having me back again. As for new things since we last spoke, we have released countless new titles across different genres, including our latest product Piggy Smash! With our signature Smash4Cash™ mechanic.

• You really have started 2024 off with a bang following the release of Piggy Smash. What can you tell us about the game?

We have indeed, 2024 will be a big year for Gaming Corps!

Piggy Smash was released in January and made available to lots of different casinos. The game, in itself, is a brand-new type of game that we are calling “Smash4Cash™”. The entire premise is all about smashing open different piggy banks for cash prizes and features.

• Each time the player places a bet, the game will show a hammer smashing down on the Piggy Bank and potentially breaking it open. It’s truly one-of-a-kind, as it’s an arcade game with a unique new mechanic. How did you come up with the idea to create a game such as this one?

We really wanted to create an arcade game that blended a fast and straightforward slot gameplay with the arcade-style of content that our players love. Together, we had the mechanic in mind and instantly we knew that pairing the game with piggy banks would make for an entertaining product.

• Multipliers, Rampage, Multi Rampage, Instant-Win Prizes… Piggy Smash features a wealth of interesting game features. What do you think will be the main thing that appeals to the players?

Yes, we wanted to include plenty of features to keep the game both dynamic and interesting for players in the long run. I believe that the most appealing thing for players  would be the Multiplier Rampage feature – a sort of Free Spins feature with a Multiplier attached that players could increase their potential by a large margin.

• As this is also the first Smash4Cash™ game, can you tell us a bit more about the series?

Sure, so this is our first in a series of products that we will continue to release throughout 2024. We’ll build upon the success with different themes, features and different bet types too. This really is just the beginning!

• What can we expect to see with other upcoming Smash4Cash™ games? New themes, perhaps, maybe even some new exciting features?

Exactly! So, the upcoming Smash4Cash™ game is called Rampage!. This new game will be an incredibly simplistic and minimalistic art style that we have found to be successful with our other products like Coin Miner. In the future, we will explore other classic casino themes such as Gems.

• The last time we spoke, we discussed the then-new release of Ramen Puzzle. We also mentioned several of your other games, which brings us to the obvious – you are pros at creating one-of-a-kind games. What does the brainstorming process for ideas look like at Gaming Corps?

Thank you so much for your kind words. We really take pride in creating unique concepts for our games. For us, I will work with the Product Owner and my fellow artists and animators to discuss the ideas that we want to create based on market research or even our own personal experiences. We will then blend these different concepts to ultimately create games that are unique for our players.

When developing a new game, the brainstorming process can be very quick as we have talented individuals who are often very excited to share their ideas. After the brainstorming process, we will further iterate and evolve our ideas until the end of this phase is complete.

• Slots and arcade games seem to be your go-to in terms of genres. Why arcades? How do arcade games fit the current landscape of online gaming?

Arcade games, for us, are something that complement slots so well. It gives us an edge over our competitors and allows us to stand out in what is quickly becoming a very saturated market. They have totally different player bases, and we believe that they are part of the future of online gaming.

• Can you give us a few hints as to what we can expect from Gaming Corps in 2024?

Throughout 2024, we will continue to develop and improve our Smash4Cash™ series of games. We will expand our slots portfolio by continuing to release a slot game on average once a month, and we will also be developing a few different Crash products too to further cement ourselves as a leading provider when it comes to arcade products.
