Lightning Ball is Evolution’s Lightning twist on the popular ball-base games such as bingo. Years after the official release, Mega Ball continues to attract attention from players worldwide. Evolution execs see that and understand that, even though bingo might seem predictable to many, it still holds much appeal for the punters. So there was a market demand for bingo-style live games.

On the other hand, Evolution also hosts one of the most recognizable live game series titled Lightning games. Evolution connected the dots and created Lightning Ball, a bingo-style Mega Ball-lookalike game with Lightning Multipliers. In Lightning Ball, you have a chance to place a wager that’s between $0.01 and $100 and hope for a chance to fill out tickets. If you complete tickets (they are pre-filled, so you cannot pick numbers you want on a ticket) you will win rewards.

The game consists of two  ball-drawing machines. The first one contains 30 balls (numbered 1-30) and the second contains Powerball balls (numbered 1-10). During the round, the host announces 5 ball draws from the first drum and 1 from the second.  Before the second drum draw, the host also pulls a lever which bestows a random Lightning Multiplier to random numbers, and if the drawn Powerball matches the Multiplier in number, players that have it on their tickets get said Multiplier. The explanation might sound a bit complicated right now, but it’s fairly easy to understand once you start playing.

Not many features exist in Lightning Ball. The main thing you should know  about the game is that it’s a Mega Ball-type of game, or rather a bingo-style game featuring pre-filled tickets you purchase. A ball-drawing machine is the at the centre of the studio, and the dealer announces balls that are drawn from the machine. There’s also another drum with 10 balls that are called the Powerball balls.

Lightning Multipliers can carry a value from 1x to 50x. in every round, the host pulls a lever just before the Powerball draw to announce several Multipliers (their values are randomly chosen) and the numbers they apply to. If the Powerball draw brings forth one of the highlighted numbers, all tickets with that corresponding number get the corresponding Multiplier. However, to receive a prize, you must have at least one number match on the ticket from the first ball draw.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH LIGHTNING BALL

We loved Mega Ball, and we generally enjoy Lightning games, so we did enjoy Lightning Ball too. But was all this necessary? It’s a good game for high rollers, despite the low betting range, because no low roller or casual player is going to risk money on tickets for pre-determined numbers and potentially high Multipliers. And let’s face it, the odds of hitting the entire ticket with all its 6 numbers and a Lightning Multiplier of 50x are very, very slim. We can easily say they are almost non-existent, even though technically there is a chance to hit that.

Either way, players looking for profits should not try their luck with Lightning Ball as they are not going to find it here. What they will find is entertaining gameplay and a good time – because despite everything, the game is fun for you to play.

There’s not much to say about payouts in Lightning Ball except they are tied to the number of numbers you match on the tickets and the Lightning Multiplier.
