Evolution Adds More Live Slots with BTG Acquisition

The latest news from the world’s most famous live casino provider Evolution is huge. According to the recent contract the company has signed, BTG is joining Evolution’s welcoming gaming family.

Namely, the acquisition will complete during the second quarter (Q2) of 2021. The prize that Evolution has discussed so far stands at €450 million. The up-front payment from Evolution is €220 million.

Two Giants Unite

In April 2021, Evolution proudly announced the acquisition of the leading online slot developer. Big Time Gaming is an Australian iGaming company specialising in slots. Among players, the game provider is famous for its slot mechanics – Megaways, Megaclusters, and Megaquads. The addition of these cutting-edge slot tools will come in handy to Evolution’s new games.

Jens von Bahr, Chairman at Evolution, talked about the exciting deal.

For the calendar year 2020, BTG’s revenue amounted to € 33 million with an EBITDA of EUR 29 million. Those results will positively impact Evolution.

Evolution’s Steady Growth

In 2020, Evolution introduced live game show hybrid Crazy Time, only to follow up with an even more complex game. In early 2021, Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt Live came to be. The 20,000x jackpot game is the direct successor of NetEnt’s award-winning online slot Gonzo’s Quest.

Lastly, let’s remind ourselves – last year, Evolution acquired NetEntertainment and its subsidiary Red Tiger Gaming for roughly €2.1 billion. At about the same time, it rebranded from Evolution Gaming to simply Evolution, signifying its simplistic and straightforward approach.
