Pragmatic Play’s Donation Assists Gibraltar’s Wildlife Conservation Park

A popular iGaming software provider Pragmatic Play has recently assisted Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park with a donation. This financial aid will go a long way in restructuring the environments of the park. Outdoors spaces and the turtle pond area are the main priorities.

What is the AWCP?

The Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park is an institution situated in Gibraltar’s Alameda Botanic Garden. The AWCP’s main purpose is care for unwanted exotic pets and animals confiscated by customs. Moreover, some of their animals include the cotton-topped tamarin and various exotic turtle species. Through education about specie conservation the AWCP is raising awareness of important endangered species.

Additionally, apart from protecting threatened species in the wild the AWCP also partakes in international conservation projects. These projects ensure exotic species survival. They also play a role in the international effort to conserve uncommon turtle species like the snapping turtle, map turtles and yellow-bellied sliders.

The Donation

Pragmatic Play’s donation to the Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park is a welcome one. It equals £6,850 and it will help Gibraltar’s only wildlife sanctuary to support its many endangered species including the new North American turtle exhibit.

The donation will help refurbish the turtle ponds that require clean running water as well as outdoor activity environments.

Furthermore, CEO at Pragmatic Play Julian Jarvis commented: “As the only wildlife park in Gibraltar, the AWCP fulfils a crucial part in the protection of rare animal species, and we’re extremely proud to be able to support the restructuring of its outdoor spaces and turtle ponds.

He further elaborated that up to four turtle species will live in these new spacious ponds thanks to their donation. They are looking forward to establishing new ways to support Gibraltar’s only wildlife sanctuary.
