When it comes to features in the Golden Fish Tank Party slot, you are playing with Cash Symbols, 2 Free Spins rounds, and Multipliers.

Cash Collection

Cash symbols land on every reel in the game, but Cash Collect symbols can appear only on reels 1 and 6. The values that Cash symbols carry range from 0.50x to 2x.  Obviously, you need Collect symbols to collect the Cash – and if the Cash and Collect symbols land on the same reels (reel 1 or 6), their values are doubled.

Multipliers

The game also features a Multiplier collection system.

If you have Cash symbols but no Collect icons, every Cash symbol will get an extra 1 point for the Multiplier Collection meter. When you get 20 points in there,  the Multiplier goes up by 1x, which then resets the bar. The process keeps up until the Multiplier is awarded.

The Multiplier is awarded when you either get a Cash + Collect symbol on the grid, or you enter Free Spins.

A great thing is that Multiplier progress is kept during the game and there are no caps on the Multiplier values you can reach this way.

Free Spins

Free Spins begin with 3 Scatters. There are 2 types of Free Spins, and the choice on which one you get is randomly decided before the start of the round.

Now, first we have Cash Party Free Spins. During Cash Party Spins, both Cash and Collect icons appear on the grid. On each round, at least 1 of each is guaranteed to appear. Moreover, the Multiplier applies to all wins in the base game.

The number of scatters dictates the number of spins, which is why you will get 4, 6, 8, or 12 spins for 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters, respectively.

The other kind is Wild Party Free Spins.

With these, you also get Wilds in the mix on the grid, appearing on every reel except reel 1. In the round, you get 10, 15, 20, or 30 for 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters, respectively. Unlike Cash Party spins which cannot be retriggered, these can: get 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 to score 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 extra spins, respectively.

Our Experience with Golden Fish Tank Party

In short terms, we liked the third installation in the expanding Golden Fish Tank universe. Frankly, the first two were quite similar, while this one adds a little bit of excitement, something that we appreciate as it is, after all, the third game.

To be fair, Yggdrasil could have gone a different route and used Megaways for the third one, as that’s become fashionable amongst game producers nowadays. Then there are the numerous Yggdrasil slot mechanics, of which the company has nearly a dozen.

Still, they decided to go with a classic cash collection system.

Odd, and yet unexpectedly interesting. But there’s still time for them to come out with a brand-new mechanic or use Megaways, you never know.
