Our Experience with Jellycious DoubleMax

One word – mediocre. I am sorry, Yggdrasil, I did my best to love the game, but I found it to be exceptionally repetitive. I was hoping the visuals would be stunning, as I always see with Yggdrasil games. But it seems somehow, they rushed the game a bit, as the visuals are not on the level we are all used to seeing from the company. It’s not ugly or anything, it’s just… kind of unfinished. And too simple.

The same can be said for the features. In theory, we have the DoubleMax mechanics that allow you to enjoy supercharged Multipliers, but in reality, it’s not like that. The game’s main strength is the Free Spins feature where you have Multipliers that do not reset, and that’s pretty much that. The Buy Feature is too expensive for me.

PAYOUTS

Payouts in the game start with 0.50x for low-rank card suits – Clubs, Diamonds, Spades, and Hearts. Then we have the regular sweets – ice cream, cupcakes, swirly candies, and gummies that pay from 1x to 2.50x for 5 identical icons on a payline. The game’s secret lies in the Free Spins feature, as well as the Multiplier, which helps you build the payout up to 25,000x. That’s the game’s maximum win, but we are not sure if it’s possible to hit that easily. It’s best to expect moderate results than the max payout.

Jellycious DoubleMax is not our favourite game release this year, that much is certain, but we would not say it’s the worst. The game relies on its power too much, and it’s true – there’s a massive 25,000x potential which is great; but the game is a candy themed slot, cute-looking etc. Does that mix well? Typically, yeah, but something went wrong with this game, and it did not click with us.
