EXTRA FEATURES

The game does not offer much in the special features department. Instead, we have a progressive jackpot, a couple of special symbols like scatters and wilds, and the Gamble feature.

Progressive Jackpots

The game comes with 3 different types of Jackpots. The choice which one you get depends on the starting and guaranteed jackpot value. The jackpots are triggered randomly, which means it can happen on any given spin. In every spin, a percentage is taken of the stake to enter the jackpot pool. Over time, the jackpot grows, and when the player wins the jackpot, it resets and starts building again. We have no info regarding the game’s progressive jackpot seed.

Gamble

The Gamble feature is a feature used by many game producers, most notably Endorphina. Like Endorphina, Expanse Studio has the Gamble feature in almost every online slot. Essentially, the feature gives you an opportunity to double winnings on every win. How so? Well, whenever you get a win, no matter how big/small, click the Gamble button instead of the Collect button.

This will take you to the Gamble feature where you are given a face-down playing card. You are supposed to guess the color of the card, or if it’s red or black. You can keep playing and doubling winnings until you reach the end of the round, or until you miss. Please bear in mind that you can collect at any time. If you miss, you forfeit everything (including the initial winnings).

Wild & Scatter

Wilds can replace any icon on the grid except for the Scatter. The Wild is Pia, or for most Disney fans, Pocahontas. The Scatter is the John Smith character, or the explorer. If a Scatter is a part of a winning sequence, the winnings are multiplied with bet amount.

Our Experience with Pia

The RTP in this game is outstanding. It’s not very often that we see 98% RTPs in online slots, as that’s considered to be very high. The game also has medium variance, so that’s good, as it means it is built for medium rollers and players with casual preferences rather than high rollers.

There’s the case of progressive jackpots too. The game has a progressive jackpot, but other than that, nothing else. Sure, you can double your winnings if you are lucky using the Gamble feature, but that’s about it. For us, the biggest value of the game is in the pleasant visuals, and the chance to grab a progressive jackpot.
