As always, we have our hands full with game features in Pineapple Crush. Game features include progressive Multipliers, Free Spins, and a Buy Bonus. There’s also a Gamble feature.

Wilds

The game’s most basic special icon is the Wild which can replace any type of icon on the grid (except for Scatters). Wilds are also a paying icon, paying 2.50x for 3 Wilds, up to 125x for 5 of a kind.

Progressive Multipliers

Every round in the game has a Win Multiplier, and they are Progressive. That means there’s no cap on how high your Multipliers can get, but they do depend on tumbles and reset once  you reach the end of the round. However, in Free Spins, Multipliers do not reset until the end of the round.

Multipliers in the game increase by 1x for every tumble (the game uses cascading reels, whereby winning combos are eliminated to leave room for additional icons landing, which is a tumble). In free spins, Multipliers increase for every removed winning icon.

Gamble Wheel

Before you get into Free Spins, you get to spin the Wheel of Gamble., This gives you a chance to get extra Free Spins by landing extra Scatters (up to 6, not available if you already landed 6). You start the Gamble by spinning the wheel. If it stops at a golden pineapple, you secure the next batch of Spins, and you get to gamble again. You can land from 7, 10, 15, to 22 Spins in total. However, if the wheel stops on an ice cube, you lose it all – all the Spins for the round. Hence, be careful. At any time, you can collect the Spins and go into the round.

Free Spins

Free Spins are unlocked using Scatters. Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters gives you 7, 10, 15, or 22 Free Spins (and you can increase their number by landing extra Scatters during the Gamble). If you land 3+ Scatters, you might also retrigger Free Spins: With 3, 4, or 5 Scatters, your tally gets +3, +5, or +7 Spins, respectively. However, it is not possible to gamble the retriggered Spins. Other than that, Free Spins are just cool spins during which the Multipliers do not reset until the end of the round. Plus, Multipliers increase for every winning symbol, not just a tumble.

Buy Feature

If you decide to speed things up and get to the Spins faster, you can pay 100x the stake and get a random number of Scatters, from 3 to 6. The feature might not be available in every market, such as the UK and Ireland.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PINEAPPLE CRUSH

We view dozens of casino games each month, so it takes a lot to make us crazy about a game. Pineapple Crush did not do that, for sure, but we did enjoy what Quickspin included in the game.

From a technical standpoint, it’s a pretty common set of features. We have Multipliers, Free Spins, and the Gamble Wheel. There’s also a Buy Bonus, which is great if you don’t want to wait for it to unlock. It’s not available everywhere, though.

Arguably the best part of the game is the visual aspect, as the game does look super cute. The theme is summer, and Quickspin mixed a little bit of fruits, a little bit of ice, and lots of heat to create a cool vibe for the summer. If you are into that kind of games – simple yet fun – you are going to love Pineapple Crush. However, the game does not exactly represent a paragon of innovation, which is why it’s a perfect game for a quick fun time, not a long-term investment.
