EXTRA FEATURES

Take the Shot’s best feature is the special feature set. In Take the Shot, you’ll see Stopwatch Spins, Wilds, Free Spins, and a Buy Feature. There’s also a Double up feature.

Stopwatch Spins

The game’s unique thing is the Stopwatch spin cycles. The game revolves around cycles of 10 spins, and each cycle features random Player symbols that land and join the countdown. Lets back up for a sec: the stopwatch spins are called that because there’s a literal stopwatch countdown that counts down to 0. During the 10 spins, all Player symbols that land remain on the grid as sticky icons. You can collect up to 10 of these per cycle.

Wilds

At the end of the 10^th spin in a cycle, the Stopwatch will count the 0 and all Player icons on the grid will transform into Wilds. Wilds can replace all icons except for Scatters and Players. Oh, and if you have 5 or more Wilds on a payline, it will count as a 5x highest paying icon payout!

Free Spins

Scatters are the Bonus symbols in the game. You need 3 to get into the Free Spins. The Spins can either come with  5, 7, or 10 Wilds – and you have 15 spins. Once the Spins start, the Wilds positioned on the grid will start moving across the board.

Buy Feature

If you want to buy spins, you can do so with three different options. First is a 26x Buy Feature that gives you 5 Wilds, while if you want 7 or 10 Wilds, you will have to pay 50x or 95x, respectively. You get 15 Spins in all three instances.

Double Up

This is a gamble feature you can use after every win to double the winnings. You can double up the winnings for as many times as you want, if you don’t lose it all by making the wrong choice. Namely, this is a gamble game with a coin spin where you guess the spin outcome. If you are right, you get a double up, but if you’re wrong, you forfeit everything.

Our Experience with Take the Shot

Oof, this was a tough one. On one hand, we liked the theme and the visuals, as well as most parts of the gameplay, but on the other, we did not exactly love the low RTP and payout potential. Personally, we are okay with the low payout potential as we’re not here to strike gold. However, when it comes to RTP and variance, we expect a good, reasonable percentage that suits the rest of the game. Instead, in Take the Shot, we have both a low RTP and low payouts, medium variance, and just 20.12% hit rate.

All this is to say that the game is not bad per se, but it’s not exactly player friendly. Which is odd considering basketball is a team sport, but there you have it. We are sure you’ll like the features, but please do not risk it with the high bets. It’s not worth it.
